Alphonsine Tawara, who is 70 year old, has revealed that she is still a virgin, single, but now ready to settle with a man. However, she says it has not been easy getting a boyfriend.
Tawara hails from Congo and works as a teacher in Catholic mission school.
She sacrificed most of her time and resource to help her siblings get through school.
She said she first wanted all her siblings to graduate and all this time Tawara used to reject men who asked for her hand.
Sharing her statement from the interview she did with AfriMax, she said;
The reason I am still single is because I haven’t found the right man for me. But when I was still a young, several men were chasing after me. I dated several but refused to get married before my siblings graduated because I was the one who was taking care of them.
Men would approach me for marriage and I would tell them no because I wanted to educate my siblings first, then marry later.
If I get a husband, I would get married. I’m ready to get married. I’m ready to be a wife and move in together with my husband.
According to Tawara, her biggest fear was to end up a single mother, hence she waited.
