The body of a Chinese man has been retrieved from a dam at Esaase in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern Region.

According to reports, the man went missing after his car plunged into a dam. He slid off the road and fell into the dam in the course of his duty.

The man was working for a mining company as a supervisor for the construction of road networks in the district.

Immediately after drowning a search party was convened to find him but in vain.

Adom News have now confirmed the deceased has been retrieved.

Reports say before the rescue team found the body, the traditional authorities of this area poured libation.

The body has been deposited at the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital mortuary for autopsy.

Residents claim this dam has been a nightmare to them because this is not the first time such an incident has occurred there.
