Good news for Ghanaians on today Sunday, July 31, 2022, after the government has for the second time extended the deadline for the SIM card re-registration exercise to 30th September 2022.
The Minister of Communications, Ursula Owusu has announced the new extension today, July 31, 2022.
Her statement;
The programme will be extended to 30 September to end the anniversary of its commencement which will give us a full year. Any sim that has not been registered by end of August will be barred from receiving services.
The government had earlier set July 31 as the deadline for re-registration of SIM cards but it seems they have considered the request from MoMo agents and other related associations to extend this exercise.
