Ghana attained her independence many decades ago and since then the nation was ranked as one of the fast developing and promising in Africa until recently when her economy faced serious crisis due to various reasons.
Recently, the country has experienced rolling blackouts, popularly known as ‘Dumsor’, which means ‘off-on’ in the Akan language.
‘Dumsor’ became a household name in Ghana some years ago when the country had inconsistent supply of electricity, but power stability was later restored during the leadership of former president John Dramani Mahama.
Unfortunately, dumsor is back and most regions in the country are experiencing power rationing as highlighted by Chairman Freemind on Freemind Family Youtube Channel (shown below).
According to Chairman Freemind, the power instability in the country is back under the leadership of President Akufo Addo and the government is silent about the issue, probably due to the fear of losing votes in the incoming general elections, later this year.
Netizens on Freemind Family’s channel have agreed with him on this matter, where many are calling out the current government for their incompetency in leading the country.
