A farmer identified as Kofi Atta at Assin Akomfode in the Central Region is currently in critical condition after accidentally chopping off his scrotum while asleep.
According to Kofi, he dreamt of cutting meat while sleeping and ended up chopping off his scrotum in reality.
Such an incident is often caused by a condition called parasomnia, which is a sleep disorder involving unusual and undesirable physical events or experiences that disrupt your sleep.
While speaking to Adom News, Kofi Atta said he woke up from sleep and found himself in a pool of blood.
Kofi’s wife stated that this is not the first time her husband Kofi has done such an act while sleeping.
Sometimes Kofi walks, fights, and talks while asleep.
Adom News reports that Kofi’s family is unable to raise GHC 600 to fuel an ambulance provided by the National Ambulance Service. For this reason, Kofi is yet to receive further medical care.
