JUST IN: Highlife legend A.B Crentsil is dead

Ghanaian Highlife legend, Mr. Alfred Benjamin Crentsil, popularly known as A.B Crentsil has passed away at the age of 79 years.

Sound engineer, Fred Kyei Mensah, has confirmed the death of the celebrated singer this morning, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, through a Facebook post.

Sharing his statement;

FAREWELL AB CRENSTIL. The original composer and singer of the famous and controversial songs, ‘Moses and Atia’, AB Crentsil, has died.

He had a stint with a lot of bands before joining the Sweet Talks Band with Smart Nkansah and then his own band, Ahenfo. His hits songs, ‘Juliana and Obi ba wiase’, cannot be forgotten.

Report show Crentsil had been sick for some time.
