St. Francis-Xavier hospital at Assin Fosu in the Central Region are in trouble after a corpse goes missing. The family of the bereaved family have demanded for the body of the deceased or else the mortuary officials will face their wrath.
Report from Central Regional Correspondent, Akosua Akyere Kumiwaa through UTV News, show that the bereaved family were furious such that were it not for the intervention of the hospital’s senior officials, the situation would have turned bloody and messy.
The deceased identified as Linder Obiri Akufo, was deposited at this hospital and his relatives were visiting the facility every day.
All this time, the relatives did not suspect anything till the burial day.
As usual, many relatives from far and near had been invited for burial so they came to the mortuary to view and receive the corpse for burial.
It is during this time that hell broke loose after mortuary officials revealed they could not locate the corpse.
The corpse was searched everywhere but in vain and the family became impatient and could no longer tolerate the excuses.
According to UTV report, the hospital senior officials have apologized and promised to find the corpse and hand it over to the family.
