Chairman of the Board of Trustees, National Cathedral, Apostle Onyinah, has revealed that the committee has mobilized more than 31 million Ghana Cedis for the construction of the national cathedral. The Apostle stated the accumulation of this amount of money is a result of fundraising which started in 2018 as follows. In 2018, 2.6 million Cedis was generated, 3. 6million in 2019, 13.9 million in 2020, 7.7 million in 2021, and 3.6 million in 2022 which sums up to 31, 747, 989. 16 million Ghana Cedis.
The Apostle urged the church leaders to remain focused on the Cathedral project even when challenges arise.
We appeal to leaders of the churches in Ghana not to forget the purpose of the Cathedral and stand up to the challenge without running away from supporting the project. Let’s not make it appear that the President has made a mistake in bringing the idea of the Cathedral.
According to the Apostle, completion and success of the cathedral will only be achieved if churches and citizens of Ghana continue supporting this project financially. He further said the cathedral will have the biggest Bible Museum globally.
There is no money lurking somewhere for the construction of the Cathedral, so if churches don’t support, we cannot build it.
