New Patriotic Party (NPP) leading member, Gabby Otchere-Darko has said that National Democratic Congress (NDC) is to blame for the current ‘fix’ the government is facing that left it with no choice but seek help from International Monetary Fund (IMF).

According to Otchere-Darko, NDC frustrated most of the solutions that President Akufo-Addo government proposed to support and improve the country. Mr. Otchere said this on Newsfile in Accra where he revealed some of the reasons the government is going to IMF for support.

Sharing some of his statements;

Government made their policies based on the e-levy because they expected it to raise the revenue…. In terms of managing the economy, there were challenges but government was handling it well. Government saw challenges and went to Parliament to set up policies but it was frustrated in parliament.

It’s unfortunate that we were forced to the IMF but I am not too pessimistic about it.
