Regional Police Command of the Greater Accra has arrested two taxi drivers for having a fresh male human head in their possession.
The two suspects, Joseph Kwesi Mawuwone, 23, and Samuel Amemasi, 32, were arrested at Hobor near Amanfrom in the Ga South Municipality, on Sunday, July 10, 2022, around 8 pm.
The suspects’ vehicle, Toyota Corrolla Taxi cab, registration number GW 5532-21, got involved in an accident and this led to an arrest.
According to witnesses, the fresh human head was concealed in a bag and placed in the back seat of the vehicle. During the accident, the car summersaulted several times and landed in a ditch.
Eyewitnesses informed the Amanfrom police immediately of the incident and were able to arrest one suspect. The other one escaped from the scene but was later arrested.
Report show the suspects were coming from Kasoa to Amasaman, and all through their vehicle was not searched by police at an police barrier until the accident happened.
Speaking with Daily Guide, one of the witness said;
We rushed to save occupants in the vehicle, but to our surprise, we saw a fresh human head, concealed in a bad that got torn as a result of the accident.
We immediately called on the Amanfrom police for assistance.
