President Nana Addo begs teachers to return to the classroom

President Nana Addo is begging teachers to call off the strike, which was declared on Monday July 4, 2022 by teacher unions.

The President pleads with teachers to return to classroom as the unions negotiate with the government over cost of living allowance (COLA) demands.

According to Nana Addo, teachers should consider the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for 2022, which will will be written by third-year students in Junior High Schools (JHS).

The President also pleaded with the citizens of Ghana to bear with the government through the current economic crisis which he believes are a result of COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war.
