Six people have lost their lives and several others injured in a fatal accident at Aprede mountain in Okere District of Eastern Region.
The accident happened yesterday on Friday, October 7, 2022 and it involved a Sprinter Benz bus with registration number GY 1570-13 which was ferrying passengers from Koforidua, in the Eastern Region to Aflao.
According to eye witnesses, the Sprinter Benz bus driver was over-speeding while descending the mountain, and the vehicle lost control, somersaulted and landed in the ditch.
The witness, who is a driver coming from the opposite side said;
The driver should be blamed, he was over speeding and I told him to reduce it but he did not even look at me so I am not surprised this unfortunate incident has happened, the car somersaulted severally.
Those who have sustained injuries are receiving treatment at the Yilo Krobo Government Hospital in Somanya.
